The Wedding Diary.

Your wedding diary allows you share your thoughts and feelings from the proposal through the honeymoon with those who care about you and your happiness.

When Visiting

When a visitor to your website clicks to your Wedding Diary, the table of contents is displayed with a picture of your choice from your library of pictures or from our library of pictures.  This picture can be changed as often as you like.  The table of contents will only display those chapters which are valid for the visitor ID and password the visitor used. Chapters for which you have completed chapter pages will be links, the others will not appear.  Visitors then click on the chapter link to see a chapter page listing the page titles.  From there they can proceed page to page through the chapter or go directly to a specific page.

Each page has a title, lead in text, one or more pictures each with text and trailing text.  All text is optional.  The last page of the chapter will advance back to the table of contents.

Constructing your Wedding Diary

You build each page of your wedding diary by using the page assembly tool.  The assembly tool allows you to arrange the page layout, select pictures, enter notes and selectively hide lines allowing you to create unique pages.

Creating your Wedding Diary

You create each page of your wedding diary by using the page creation screen.  The creation screen allows you to arrange the page layout, select pictures, enter notes and selectively hide things allowing you to create unique pages.

The page layouts (as illustrated along the top) allow various text and picture combinations up to 3 pictures to a page.  Each page starts with a title row, followed by a navigation row and a text row. Each page ends with a navigation row.  Between these rows may reside nothing (for a text only page), a picture row and text row (for a single picture page), or picture text blocks.  The picture text blocks have a row containing a picture and text followed by a text row.  This allows all of these combinations

Each element on the page may be hidden or excluded when the final page is created.  This allows you to mix and match text and pictures until the page flows as you desire.

Pictures are selected by clicking on the link just below the picture.  This will cause a thumbnail picture catalog to pop-up allowing you to page through our generic pictures and your personal pictures.  When you have found the picture desired, click on use to see how it will look.  You can change your mind and continue looking through the pictures.  When you have the picture for the spot, close the pop-up catalog.

This is all done in your working copy.  None of the pages go to the your live diary until you click on the move page button.

The Table of Contents

Your table of contents is the first page a visitor to your diary will see.  You may place text at the top, select a picture for the middle and text at the bottom.  The links to your chapters may be to the left, right or surround your picture.

The picture may be a stock picture or one from your website.  The chapters may be ordered as you wish, identifying the first and last page and providing a link title.  Acting on this page is live, so updates are immediately available to visitors.
